How Do They Know?

BBMG released its Conscious Consumer Report which found that:

Almost 1 out of every 4 consumers (23%) say they have “no way of knowing” if a product is green or actually does what it claims.”

This implies, of course, that nearly three out of four consumers (77%) “have a way of knowing” if a product is green or actually does what it claims.

How do they know?

When asked (unaided) which company was the most socially or environmentally responsible, Walmart topped the list. The least socially or environmentally responsible? Um, Walmart.

Four out of ten respondents, however, couldn’t name a single company that they consider to be the most socially and environmentally responsible.

Oh, c’mon now. You can’t name a socially or environmentally responsible company, but you know that a product is really “green” or actually does what it claims?
