In 2014, The Financial Brand added Jim Marous, one of the world’s most respected voices in the banking industry, as Co-Publisher. And now, The Financial Brand is honored to welcome two more additions to our core editorial team.
Bill Streeter is now The Financial Brand’s new Editor. Previously, he was the Editor & Publisher of Banking Exchange. He has been a full-time business journalist for over 40 years, having spent the bulk of his career as Editor-in-Chief of the ABA Banking Journal. During his career, he has seen momentous changes in the banking industry, from the introduction of ATMs to the 2008 financial crisis to the ongoing digitalization of banking. He has won numerous business journalism awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) as well as other organizations.
Steve Cocheo is now The Financial Brand’s new Executive Editor. He also has over 40 years’ experience in financial journalism, having worked with Bill at the ABA Banking Journal for 35+ years, and more recently at Banking Exchange. He is the only journalist to have sat in on three federal banking exams, and is the winner of multiple awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE). Last year, he received three awards from ASBPE, including the National Gold, National Bronze, and Regional Silver awards.
Both Bill and Steve were the editorial part of a team that won a finalist position in the Jesse Neal Awards, the “Pulitzer Prize” of business journalism.
