Community Choice Credit Union announced that it is collecting food donations at each of its branch locations the week of August 6. As part of the credit union’s iHeartRadio Music Festival Contest, any individual who makes a food donation will receive two entries towards the chance of winning an expense-paid vacation to the iHeartRadio Music Festival.

The iHeartRadio Music Festival is the largest American radio musical festival with twenty of the world’s greatest musical talents performing over a two-day period. The live performance will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on September 21 and 22. Some of this year’s featured artists include: Taylor Swift, Usher, Aerosmith, Miranda Lambert, Bon Jovi, and Rihanna. Tickets for the music festival were made available to the general public on July 14 and sold out in less than 8 minutes. This is the second year of the music festival which is offered by iHeartRadio.

Community Choice is giving away two prize packages to the iHeartRadio Music Festival; including two tickets to the festival, airfare and hotel accommodations. The credit union has partnered with Fresh 100.3 and Renee Vitale from the Jay Towers Morning show to raise awareness about the contest, which will provide food to the hungry.

Community Choice has $477 million in assets, 50,000 members and branch locations in Farmington Hills, Warren, Milford, New Hudson, two in Livonia and the founding location in Redford.

“I am very excited and proud that my credit union, Community Choice Credit Union, is presenting such an incredible and generous opportunity,” said Renee Vitale. “This contest truly is a win-win situation all the way around. The credit union has a great opportunity to maximize their food donations, and community awareness, while giving away two awesome trips of a lifetime!”

Every food donation that is collected will be donated to Gleaners Community Food Bank. Founded in 1977, Gleaners works tirelessly to raise money and to collect food donations to end hunger in Michigan. Last year Community Choice Credit Union featured a new membership promotion which generated a $10,000 donation from the credit union to Gleaners.

“We are always looking for ways to give big to our local communities and we feel this contest accomplishes that goal by paying it forward to people who need help,” said Jeffrey DiGiannantonio, Communications and Digital Marketing Specialist at Community Choice Credit Union. “This is a really unique opportunity to win an amazing vacation to Las Vegas to see some great musical artists, while at the same time helping to put food on the table of hundreds of families.”
