  1. I can’t think of a more meaningless/misleading thing to focus on than likes as a gauge of being a top performer. Why not just list them by assets or total members as a proxy for social media excellence.

  2. Why publish a list like this you ask? Because Randall, there are plenty of credit unions in this mix that are punching way above their weight class. And conversely, there are plenty of large institutions that don’t have any Facebook presence to speak of.

    You can deride it as “meaningless,” but I disagree. If a credit union of any size is looking for ideas — content that may generate views/engagement — this list can be helpful — even one with $155 million in assets like Pyramid FCU. Perhaps if you spent some time looking at the Facebook content that some of these institution’s created, you might find some inspiration for material that Pyramid might want to produce.
