McGraw-Hill FCU: Early Adopter Of iPad App

McGraw-Hill FCU announced the launch of its new mobile banking iPad app, making it among the first credit unions in the U.S. to do so. It is estimated that no more than 4% of credit unions nationally have implemented a tablet app, placing the credit union at the forefront of its industry in mobile banking technology.

The iPad app provides even broader access to the McGraw-Hill FCU mobile banking suite, which is also accessible through iPhone and Android smartphones. These mobile banking solutions allow members to view account balances and transaction history, pay bills, view and deposit checks, transfer funds, and locate surcharge-free ATMs and McGraw-Hill FCU branches.

To date, 40% of McGraw-Hill FCU members use the smartphone-based app, and the credit union is expecting a similar adoption of the new iPad app as consumers move toward smartphone tablet devices for primary account access over home PCs.

“We have a responsibility to help consumers achieve financial wellness in everything we do, which includes offering caring service, better rates and minimal fees, as well as delivering leading-edge remote access technology,” said Shawn Gilfedder, President and CEO of McGraw-Hill FCU. “With the launch of the iPad app, we’re proud to be an industry leader and excited to offer complete mobile convenience across a variety of remote banking platforms.”
