Back in the day (which was a Wednesday according to Dane Cook) we sang the 12 days of Christmas in its purest form – then the MacKenzie brothers changed it for us. “Two turtlenecks, and a beeeeeeeer………in a tree.” Now that’s my family’s tradition.

If I were to launch this contest in Portland, Oregon – I would ask college kids to change the words from things they WANT to things they NEED. There’s 14% unemployment in my home town – kids graduating college today are scared! Two of my nephews told me last night they plan to stay in college – go to the five year plan – hoping things will improve by then.
