For as modern and progressive as the vision for this project was, it’s interesting that they didn’t foresee the advent of TV merchandising. These days, that text-cluttered sign would be on a gorgeous, vertically-mounted plasma screen.
Check out the silver, spacey boots and matching uniform on the “Banker of the Future.”
It’s fresh off the set of Star Trek.
In the bottom-right inset there’s a photo of the TV teller — it’s an innovation from Diebold.

I am loving these…
The “TV Tellers” are strikingly close to the remote teller systems now being implemented by many banks and credit unions. We just opened our second branch using remote tellers last year. Now, if only those silver uniforms would catch on with branch staff!
It’s pretty amazing when you think about how accurate these predictions were.
