		<description>Great point on the handwritten note: doing the unexpected is a differentiator, especially when the unexpected demonstrates the extra effort and personal thought.  

It&#039;s not impossible for large companies to be personal if they can find ways to let their people be personable.  What is it about the &quot;corporate wall&quot; that takes away our ability to connect with people?

I also like the comparison between old and new &quot;communication technologies&quot;.  Too many companies use the new tools in a very impersonal way, when in fact the nature of the technology actually makes it easier to be personable.</description>
